As a member of the scientific team, you will have the chance to shape your role to fit your strengths and be instrumental in the ongoing development and growth of the division.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects across the full spectrum of medical communications activities, including congress activities, advisory boards, symposia, training materials, websites, and digital apps. Have an extensive scientific understanding and knowledge of the key therapy areas in which you support, including landscape, product, competitors, and the suitable messaging to use in the disease areaServe as the medical writing representative on assigned project teams, providing proactive support to project leadership for planning efficient work plans and timelines for medical writing deliverablesBe able to translate the science with integrity, empathy, and impactPlay a role in contributing to the development of product strategy, scientific messaging and statementsResponsible for content developed by themselves and other writers on the teamEnsure communication and educational messages are relevant, actionable and demonstrate a positive impact on patient outcomesLead assigned projects/groups of projects to ensure delivery to deadline and budgetEnsure document content and style adheres to appropriate regulatory guidelines and complies with house or client SOPs and style guidelinesCoaches others in developing content for a diverse range of medical communications projectsRecognises the importance of motivation and guidance, empowering colleagues to deliver and encouraging individual ownershipAssist the client services team by proactively discussing any changes in project specification/deadline that impact project budgets and financial forecastsRequirements

Degree (science, preferably life science); PhD or MSc (desirable)Scientific knowledge and understandingProficiency in delivering high-quality written workAble to attend international eventsHigh level of drive, motivation, and initiativeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAwareness of industry guidelines and best practice and their applicationExperience working in Medical Communications (agency)
