The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious, high-quality meals for older adults living with dementia, ensuring all meals meet individual dietary, nutritional, cultural, and medical requirements. You will maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness while contributing to a positive dining experience for residents. Key Responsibilities for Chef/Cook Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals for residents in accordance with planned menus and individual dietary requirements. Cater for specialist diets, including texture-modified meals, diabetic, vegetarian, allergy-aware, and other medically prescribed diets. Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and served in line with Food Safety, HACCP, and health and safety regulations. Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and infection prevention. Monitor food stock levels, rotate stock appropriately, and minimise food waste.
