Accounts Assistant – Finance Team | Up to £30,000 | Ayrshire

Our client is looking for a proactive and organised Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your career in a supportive environment while contributing to the efficient running of our accounts function.

What you’ll be doing:

- Managing the purchase ledger inbox and processing supplier invoices.
- Maintaining accurate supplier ledgers and reconciling payments.
- Supporting credit control and liaising with suppliers to resolve queries.
- Assisting with month-end, year-end, and preparation for audits.
- Posting bank transfers, direct debits, and ensuring accurate GL coding.
- Supporting both the Accountant and Finance Director with key finance tasks.

What we’re looking for:

- HNC/HND in Accounting (or equivalent).
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar accounts/finance role.
- Strong knowledge of processing supplier invoices, VAT, and multi-currency transactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail.
