Architectural Technician – AutoCAD

A long-established AJ100 practice with over a century of architectural excellence is expanding its technical team in Guildford and they’re looking for an AutoCAD proficient Architectural Technician to support a growing portfolio of Commercial, Industrial and Retail projects.

Their Guildford team continues to secure new work across multiple sectors, creating an ideal opportunity for a Technician who enjoys variety, responsibility and the buzz of a busy project pipeline.

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining a team that values precision, communication and technical problem-solving. The role is hands-on, fast-moving and ideal for someone who enjoys producing high-quality drawing packages and coordinating with consultants and clients.

As you settle in, you’ll have the chance to take on job-running responsibilities, support project delivery from early stages through to construction, and play a key role in shaping the technical output of the team.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• 3–5 years’ experience as an Architectural Technician

• A degree in Architectural Technology or HNC/HND equivalent

• Experience working on Commercial, Industrial and/or Retail projects

• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and technical standards

• Confident producing detailed drawings, schedules and construction information

 • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD – Essential

• A proactive mindset and the ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues
