They''re looking for someone to join their sales team and do one thing really well: start conversations and create opportunities. This is a 100% new business role. You''ll be given data to work from, including businesses known to need this, as well as previous and lapsed customers. Your job is to get on the phone, speak to the right people and book quality appointments for the sales team. What will you be doing? Making a high volume of outbound calls Contacting businesses attending exhibitions and trade shows Re-engaging previous and lapsed customers Finding the right decision maker and starting the conversation Understanding when and where prospects are exhibiting Booking qualified appointments for the sales team Following up prospects and building your own pipeline This won''t suit someone who wants to spend most of the day sending emails and hoping somebody replies. It will suit someone who enjoys talking to people, isn''t frightened of picking up the phone and gets a buzz from turning a cold call into a genuine sales opportunity.
