Role Overview:
To manage the planning, execution, and delivery of projects.- Working alongside an existing Project Team, the role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, maintaining client relationships, managing risk and change control, and ensuring full traceability and documentation in line with nuclear industry standards.
Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects from award through to completion and handover.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and client requirements.
  • Coordinate fabrication schedules with the Fabrication Manager to ensure timely production.
  • Monitor project budgets, control costs, and provide regular financial forecasts.
  • Manage project risks, issues and change control processes.
  • Ensure full documentation, traceability, and reporting compliance in line with quality management systems.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on allocated projects.
  • Lead project review meetings and provide performance updates to the Head of Projects.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency and quality performance.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture across all project activities.

To enable you to carry out this role you will need to have:

  • Significant experience in project management, ideally in regulated industries (nuclear, defence, aerospace, oil & gas).
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and project management.
  • Experience in documentation control, inspection regimes, and client quality interface.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear quality assurance frameworks (RCC-M, ASME, EN 1090, ISO 9001, or equivalent) and knowledge of nuclear site license conditions and working practices would be an advantage.
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and project management with experience in documentation control, inspection regimes, and client quality interface.
  • Ability to use own initiative to make decisions which may impact the business but can be clearly justified.
  • Strong commercial awareness and client-focused mindset.
