Overview
Head of Audiology required to lead the team and service at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The post holder will lead and advance the service, drive IQIPS accreditation and provide senior clinical leadership across multiple sites and outreach clinics.Service coverage includes Adult and Paediatric Audiology Services at Worcester Royal Hospital, Kidderminster Treatment Centre, the Alexandra Hospital, Redditch and outreach clinics at Evesham Community Hospital, Princess of Wales Community Hospital, Malvern, Pershore, Droitwich and Tenbury Wells; ENT Services and Vestibular and Adult Neuro-diagnostic Testing at the three main sites. The role offers opportunities for business planning, service development and close work with the directorate senior leadership team (operational manager, clinical director and matron).Interviews will be held on 5 August 2025.Responsibilities
Responsible and accountable for the Audiology Service provided by Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The postholder will be a highly developed post-graduate qualified Audiologist, Hearing Therapist or Clinical Scientist (Audiology) and will manage the clinical service, strategic planning, staff allocation, training, clinical governance, research and development, finance and quality assurance. Accountable to the Deputy Director of Operations (Surgery), ensure a consistently high-quality, complex clinical service meeting national and international standards. Responsible for training and supervision within the department and for performance against DM01 and RTT. Support flexible working and travel to three sites (Worcester, Redditch and Kidderminster) with regular presence to manage operations.Support business development, service transformation and collaboration with the wider directorate.
