Our client, a well-regarded school, is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join their premises team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Previous experience working within a school setting would be advantageous but is not essential. Working Hours Monday to Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm 10:00am - 7:00pm Key Responsibilities Maintenance and Facilities Carry out regular inspections of the school buildings and grounds, updating systems and records as required. Ensure playgrounds, pathways, and fire escape routes are kept clean, safe, and free from hazards. Operate, monitor, and maintain heating, lighting, water, and ventilation systems. Undertake minor maintenance, repair, and decorating tasks. Health and Safety Identify and report defects, maintenance issues, and health and safety concerns promptly. Support the testing and operation of fire alarm systems and assist with fire drills. Ensure emergency lighting is functioning correctly. Provide first aid assistance when required. Work closely with cleaning teams to maintain high standards across the site.
