Application Support Engineer Cardiff Hybrid Location: CardiffWorking Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days in the officeSector: Fintech / Financial SoftwareRole: Application Support Engineer / 2nd Line SupportSalary: Up to 29,000 + up to 20% annual bonus We are recruiting for an Application Support Engineer to join an established fintech business operating in Cardiff. You''ll join the Engineering team, providing 2nd line support, investigating application and data issues, and working closely with Service Delivery and Engineering to resolve incidents. The Role Provide 2nd line application support. Triage and investigate technical issues. Troubleshoot application and data problems. Use SQL to investigate and fix data issues. Track incidents through an issue management system. Escalate complex or urgent issues where required. Work closely with Engineering and Service Delivery. Support Web/PC-based applications. Work within an Agile development environment. What We''re Looking For Experience in Application or Technical Support. Working knowledge of Web/PC environments. Experience with Jira or similar. Experience with Bitbucket or similar. Strong SQL skills (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE/System procedures/System procedures). Experience with PowerShell or another scripting language. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Clear communication skills.
