Location: Slough
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time andndash; Term Time Only
Salary: andpound;18,000 to andpound;23,000 per annum- Depending on Experience
About the Role:
We are currently seeking compassionate and committed SEN Learning Support Assistants to join inclusive and supportive schools in Slough. These roles are available for an immediate start and offer a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with special educational needs. You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support that helps each child achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
andbull; Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD and speech and language needs.
andbull; Help implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans
andbull; Foster a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment
andbull; Assist with classroom tasks, behaviour management, and personal care where required
andbull; Encourage pupilsandrsquo; independence and engagement in learning activities
andbull; Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and parents
Qualifications andamp; Requirements:
andbull; Previous experience supporting children with SEN in an educational or care setting
andbull; Strong interpersonal and communication skills
andbull; Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs
andbull; Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual needs
andbull; A proactive and flexible approach to day-to-day responsibilities
andbull; An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
