OverviewElevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a major specialist contractor in their search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be working on a high value project at Hinkley Point, 3 days on site and 2 days working from home. This is a Fixed Term Contract position for a minimum of 18 months with an excellent salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the successful commercial outcome of this key nuclear industry project

Commercial responsibility for the contract management and delivery

Managing variations and changes with customers

Working as part of an experienced commercial team

Developing key relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes

Qualifications / Requirements

Previous experience working as a QS or Senior QS

Construction industry experience in a commercial role

Strong experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts

Good communication skills with the ability to influence

An understanding of fabrication processes is desirable

Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business
