The role In this desk-based sales role, you''ll engage with new and existing prospects, uncover business opportunities, and convert enquiries into long-term customers. You''ll work from a steady flow of marketing-generated leads while also driving your own proactive business development to build a strong pipeline. Your job is to understand each customer''s transport requirements, explain how the clients services can support their business, and guide them confidently through the sales process until they''re ready to start trading. If you enjoy building relationships, asking smart questions, and helping customers find the right solution, this role will be a great fit. Key activities The key focus will be on new business development by contacting leads from marketing campaigns, prospecting your own opportunities, and identifying companies that would benefit from the client''s transport services. You''ll qualify each opportunity, build a strong pipeline, and guide prospects through the sales process to convert them into active customers. Understand customer requirements by speaking with prospects about their transport operations and challenges, pinpointing where the service adds value, and gathering the details needed for accurate solutions and pricing.
