About the Role
As our new Economics teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, real-world Economics education to students aged 14andndash;18. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons for GCSE and A-Level Economics, bringing abstract concepts to life with real-world examples.
- Designing inclusive and differentiated lessons that inspire and engage a diverse student body.
- Encouraging critical thinking, debate, and discussion on economic theory, global issues, and policy.
- Supporting our Sixth Form students, particularly with university applications for Economics, Business, and related fields.
- Leading or supporting enrichment activities, such as Economics clubs, guest lectures, and educational trips (e.g., to the Bank of England or Londonandrsquo;s financial district).
- Using data effectively to track student progress, identify learning gaps, and provide tailored interventions.
- Collaborating with colleagues within the Humanities and Business faculties to enhance cross-curricular learning.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Holds (or is working towards) QTS (or equivalent) or has a relevant degree in Economics or a closely related subject.
