We are seeking 2-compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants to join our team. The successful candidates will provide essential support to students with additional educational needs, (predominantly autism)-ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.- -You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to create inclusive learning environments and facilitate the individualised support necessary for each student''s success.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the class teacher and pupils-with special educational needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) and moderate & profound learning difficulties (MLD & PMLD)
  • Assist pupils-with academic tasks, communication, behaviour management, and daily tasks.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement individual education plans and tailor support strategies to meet students'' specific needs.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
  • Adapt and modify teaching materials and activities to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor students'' progress and provide feedback to teachers on a regular basis.
  • Attend meetings with school staff and external professionals to discuss students'' progress, goals, and support strategies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times when dealing with sensitive information related to students'' needs and progress.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs is highly desirable, or experience as a TA/LSA in mainstream-primary schools.
  • Relevant qualifications in special education, teaching assistant training, psychology, child development, or a related field are advantageous.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school environment.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and obtain necessary certifications as required by the school or institution.
