Electrical Design Engineer We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of high-quality engineering solutions for defence, marine, or similar regulated industries. The role involves analysing and validating electrical designs to ensure technical, safety, and legislative compliance, while producing the required documentation for customer approval.andnbsp;Key Responsibilities Produce design documentation including calculations, test plans, and component selection justifications. Ensure all electrical designs meet customer specifications, safety standards, and legislative requirements. Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers to deliver fully integrated design solutions. Follow structured design and approval processes to maintain technical integrity and compliance. Qualifications andamp; Experience Degree qualified or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years in Defence, Aerospace, or Marine sectors. Strong background in power and electrical system design, control, and instrumentation. Experience with variable speed drives, motor starter panels, distribution systems, and PLC systems. Skilled in FMEA, safety assessments, and reliability analysis. Understanding of automation and testing systems; experience with National Instruments hardware or LabVIEW desirable.
