Student Services Adviser
36 hours a week over 42 weeks a year - Term Time Only Kingston College has an exciting opportunity for a Student Services Adviser to provide high quality support, information, advice and guidance to learners to improve their likelihood of successful completion of their programme and progression into further education, training and/or employment.We are looking for a passionate and committed individual with fantastic engagement skills to join our team. You''ll work in close liaison with students, staff, and external organisations to safeguard students and support them in achieving their full potential by offering holistic support, which is tailored to their needs. You''ll also provide and support the provision of a range of activities to engage learners within the wider community of college life and the preparation for life in society.We''d like our Student Services Adviser to be qualified to Level 3 or above IAG qualification, or in an appropriate area e.g. youth and community, education, social work, sociology, health and social care (or willing to work towards). You''ll have proven experience working with vulnerable young people, using successful strategies with learners who are disengaged or disaffected in order to re-engage them with education or training or prevent them from dropping out of education.With a good understanding of Post 16 education services and the issues that transition from pre- to post-16 education may have for young people or those that have been out ..... full job details .....
