In this role, you\''ll be part of a group supporting the development and integration of wind tunnel model systems and technologies. Design and Development – Lead the design, integration, and testing of wind tunnel model systems (onboard and off-model), including instrumentation, data acquisition, control systems, and related rigsSystem Setup and Operation – Oversee the installation, calibration, and operation of model systems and metrology equipment, ensuring class-leading testing performanceProblem Solving and Maintenance – Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, and mechanical system issues, maintaining high reliability and safety standardsInnovation and Process Improvement – Research and implement new technologies, methods, and measurement techniques to enhance aerodynamic testing capabilitiesCollaboration and Documentation – Work closely with aerodynamic and performance engineers, maintain accurate technical records, and mentor junior team membersRequirements

Proven experience with wind tunnel model systems, sensors, and motorsport testing environmentsStrong understanding of mechanical/electrical assemblies, instrumentation, and metrology systemsProficiency in fault-finding, problem-solving, and relevant communication protocols (e.g., CAN bus, EtherCAT)Experience with programming tools such as LabVIEW, Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, or similar; PCB design skills advantageousKnowledge of motorsport-standard data acquisition systems (e.g., Pi Toolbox, ATLAS) and strong IT skillsExcellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and travel as requiredBenefits and Equal Opportunity
