GSL Education are seeking dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Hull. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a positive difference in children’s academic and social growth.

 As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Level 2 TA), you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning needs. You will assist in delivering lessons, supporting small groups or individual students, and contributing to a safe and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils across the curriculum.
• Assist teachers in delivering effective and engaging lessons.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive attitudes to learning.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and materials.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and other non-classroom activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to meet pupil needs.
• Promote independence and confidence in learning.
• Support extracurricular activities and school trips when required.

Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Level 2 TA) Requirements:

• Experience working in a UK primary school or similar educational setting.
• Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or equivalent (desirable).
• A degree in Education, psychology or a similar field.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting children.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
