HGV Technician
Lutterworth | £45,000–£50,000 DOE | Rotating Shifts
Description
We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle workshop.
Salary – £45,000–£50,000, depending on experience
Shift Pattern
- 40 hours per week.
- Rotating weekly: 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00.
- 30-minute paid break daily.
- Alternate Saturdays: 06:00–12:00.
The HGV Technician Role
As an HGV Technician, your duties will include:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs and trailers.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using specialist equipment.
- Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Following manufacturer procedures and completing accurate service records.
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Requirements
The successful HGV Technician will have:
- Minimum 3 years'' relevant experience.
- Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in HGV maintenance and repair preferred.
- IRTEC qualification advantageous.
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- A professional and dependable approach.
- HGV driving licence desirable but not essential.
