Job Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Worker

• Provide 1:1 and small-group behavioural support to students with a range of additional needs, including challenging behaviour, emotional difficulties, and behavioural regulation needs.
• Support students to develop positive behaviour, emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, and social skills.
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and SEN professionals to implement individual behaviour support plans and strategies.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with students, providing consistent encouragement and reassurance.

What we''re looking for in a Behaviour Support Worker

• Compassionate and empathetic - able to understand and respond sensitively to students with a range of behavioural and additional needs.
• Patient and supportive - able to provide consistent reassurance, encouragement, and boundaries, particularly when students are experiencing challenging emotions or behaviours.
• Excellent communication skills - able to communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents/carers, and other professionals.
