Freelance MRICS Building Surveyor (3 Days per Week)

£400–£450 per day London / Home-Based 

Conrad Consulting is supporting a respected, RICS-regulated building surveying practice in the South East with the appointment of an experienced Freelance Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS). This is an urgent requirement due to newly secured contracts that require immediate MRICS oversight and report sign-off.

This role is ideal for a seasoned surveyor who enjoys technical leadership, quality assurance, and mentoring—while maintaining the flexibility of part-time, freelance work.

You will act as the technical lead across a range of residential surveying outputs, providing essential oversight and ensuring the highest professional standards. Work will include:

• Technical review and sign-off of Level 1–3 RICS surveys

• Quality assurance and monitoring of junior surveyors

• Occasional shadowing of junior surveyors on inspections

• Mentoring and APC support

• Undertaking complex surveys where required

The position is primarily home-based, with site visits as needed.

• MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor (essential)

• Ideally 3–6 years PQE

• Strong residential surveying background

• Confident in defect diagnosis and building pathology

• Experience signing off reports and supervising junior staff

• Full UK right to work

• Freelance / Outside IR35

• 3 days per week
