Principal / Associate Fire Engineer

Overview
We are Hollis, a dynamic, multi-disciplinary organisation delivering innovative solutions across the property lifecycle. We are recruiting a Principal or Associate level Fire Engineer to join our Building Safety and Fire service, working closely with the service lead to shape and grow the offering.We are embarking on a new Building Safety and Fire service that collaborates with our existing services using the Hollis One Team approach to deliver holistic, interdisciplinary solutions. This role offers growth and professional development opportunities and may involve working across the property lifecycle from inception to operation and beyond, including compliance with the Building Safety Act, the Hackitt Review, and the Grenfell Inquiry.Main Responsibilities
Collaborate with the service lead on the strategic development and growth of the Building Safety and Fire service.Support the supervision and mentorship of a growing team.Deliver value to clients and solve problems across the property lifecycle and service products, including:
Lender due diligencePlanning Gateway One fire statementGovernment funding application management and deliveryBuilding Safety Act Clerk of WorksConstruction stage fire risk assessmentFire safety strategyFire and Emergency FileConduct third-party reviewsMonitor projects to ensure compliance and qualityDevelop Safety Cases and Safety Case ReportsPerform fire door, compartmentation, and fire stopping surveysComplete EWS1 forms and fire risk appraisals of external walls (FRAEW)
Manage projects from inception to completion.Create compelling proposals for clients.Collaborate with other services to deliver holistic solutions.Develop and maintain strong client relationships.Engage in business development activities to expand our client base.Provide strategic industry insights and leadership.Your Profile
Extensive experience in fire safety, fire engineering, and/or fire science.Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.Demonstrated ability to work on and solve complex projects.Experience managing and mentoring teams.Chartered Engineer status is desirable; support provided if you wish to become chartered.Strong background in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary setting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and growth.Committed to advancing the standards of building safety and fire services.About Hollis
