Group Health, Safety and Environmental OfficerOur client is a well known Sheffield based manufacturer and is one of the most successful steel and engineering businesses in the country, and a recipient of the Queens Award for Enterprise. The Group consists of 6 independently operational businesses covering multiple disciplines including forging, heat treatment, testing, machining, and global distribution of advanced nickel-based alloys and special steels.The RoleWe are recruiting a Group Health, Safety and Environmental Officer, based at our Group HQ reporting to the Group HSandE Manager.You will work closely with other HandS and Quality team members, and responsibilities will include the implementation of our HandS polices and associated risk assessments, safe working procedures and training for UK based employees, employee inductions and liaising with external contractors. You will also support the development and maintenance of our environmental policies and practices throughout the UK businesses, including our ISO 14001 accreditation. Note, this is a ''Group Wide'' role allowing for a broad and varied working environment across all our UK companies within Sheffield.Skills / qualificationsPreferably the candidate will be experienced within a steel / engineering or manufacturing environment, but this is not vital, and hold a NEBOSH certificate qualification, or similar.
