Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Newport, South Wales Salary: 40,000 to 60,000 Job Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Full-time FC Engineering Recruitment is working with an established engineering business in Newport who are looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an opportunity for a mechanical design engineer to work on a range of engineering projects, developing and improving mechanical products and systems from concept through to manufacture. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies and products. Key responsibilities will include: Producing detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings Developing mechanical designs from initial concept through to manufacture Designing components, assemblies and mechanisms Producing manufacturing drawings, specifications and Bills of Materials Working closely with manufacturing and production teams Supporting prototype development, testing and design improvements Reviewing and modifying existing designs where required Ensuring designs meet relevant engineering and quality requirements Working with suppliers and other departments to resolve technical issues Contributing to continuous improvement and new product development You will ideally have: Previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar A relevant mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent experience ..... full job details .....
