Year 2 Teacher - Newham - MPS/UPS - Full Time - September Start - Primary School

A full-time opportunity has become available for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Newham. This long-term role is available for a September start and offers a competitive salary in line with MPS/UPS, depending on experience.

Do you have experience teaching Key Stage 1, particularly Year 2?
Are you confident in preparing pupils for end of Key Stage 1 assessments?
Do you have a strong understanding of phonics, early reading, and numeracy development?

The Role - Year 2 Teacher
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum. You will support pupils in reaching their full potential as they approach the end of Key Stage 1, with a focus on developing core skills in reading, writing, and maths.

You will assess pupil progress regularly, adapt planning to meet individual needs, and provide targeted support where necessary. Working closely with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and other staff, you will help support pupils with a range of needs, including SEN.

Strong classroom management, a nurturing approach, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment are essential for this role.
