After years of strong domestic growth, our Oxford-based engineering and manufacturing business is now entering an exciting new phase: international expansion.

With operations until now focused solely on the UK, we are now actively building our footprint across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. To support this strategic shift, we are hiring our first Head of International Tax – a newly created, permanent role reporting directly to the Group CFO.

This is a rare opportunity to build an international tax function from the ground up, directly shaping how we grow globally while maintaining compliance and efficiency in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

The Role
As Head of International Tax, you will take full ownership of the company’s global tax agenda, supporting international market entry, legal structuring, compliance, and strategic tax planning. Your responsibilities will include:

Designing and delivering a robust international tax framework

Advising on cross-border structuring, local tax implications, and new entity setup

Managing direct and indirect tax exposure in new markets

Leading on transfer pricing and intercompany arrangements

Collaborating with commercial and finance teams on tax-efficient business models

Acting as the principal liaison with external tax advisors and local tax authorities

Monitoring tax risk and ensuring compliance across jurisdictions

Establishing scalable systems and processes to support global growth

What We’re Looking For
Proven expertise in international tax, ideally within a scaling or multinational organisation

Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax, transfer pricing, VAT/GST, and global tax structuring

Commercial awareness and the ability to align tax strategy with international growth objectives

Hands-on, delivery-focused approach – comfortable balancing strategic vision with day-to-day detail

Confident communicator and cross-functional collaborator

ACA/CTA-qualified or equivalent preferred
