Sewing Machinist

£12.71 per hour + Regular Overtime Available | Full-Time | Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (42.5 hours per week)

Due to continued growth, we are looking for motivated and reliable Sewing Machinists to join our production team.

• Operate lockstitch and overlock sewing machines to produce high-quality finished products.
• Measure, mark, cut and sew a variety of fabrics and materials.
• Operate manual and mechanical cutting, eyeleting and associated equipment.
• Produce basic patterns and work from pattern instructions and technical drawings.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Package completed goods ready for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all company procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements.
• Support the wider production team as required.

• Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines.
• Ability to read and interpret pattern instructions.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
• Experience creating basic patterns would be advantageous.
