We''re recruiting for an experienced SC Cleared Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join a major public sector programme, supporting the design, optimisation and resilience of critical AWS-hosted database platforms. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong expertise across AWS database services, performance tuning and high availability. Clearance required: BPSS + SC (It needs to be an active SC with a government agency used within the last 6 months) Essential Skills Expert knowledge of AWS Aurora, Amazon RDS and PostgreSQL Strong database architecture, schema design and data modelling experience SQL optimisation, query tuning and execution plan analysis Performance tuning, indexing and database optimisation Backup, recovery, replication, failover and disaster recovery Troubleshooting complex production database environments Data reconciliation and data integrity validation AWS services including IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, VPC and Secrets Manager Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) CI/CD experience Excellent stakeholder management and technical leadership skills Desirable AWS Database Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect certification Experience with MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB or Redis Public Sector or other highly regulated environments ..... full job details .....
