We are looking for a technically driven Cyber Security Analyst to join our IT Security team. The role focuses on strengthening security operations through vulnerability management, incident monitoring, and the improvement of technical defences across the organisation. The successful candidate will be hands-on with tools and platforms, helping to detect, investigate, and remediate threats while supporting project teams to embed security by design. A UK driving licence is required for occasional travel to regional sites.Location: MidlandsSalary: £32,000 – £37,000Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible working options.Benefits

Conduct and review vulnerability scans, prioritising and coordinating remediationMonitor Microsoft 365 Defender, Azure Security Centre, and endpoint protection tools to detect suspicious activitySupport incident response by investigating alerts, gathering evidence, and escalating where appropriateValidate and monitor backup processes to ensure resilience and recovery readinessAssist with patch management and secure configuration across servers, endpoints, and cloud platformsProvide technical input to IT projects, ensuring controls are integrated at design and build stagesCollaborate with the wider IT team to improve monitoring, detection, and hardening practicesQualifications and Experience
25 years experience in IT infrastructure, systems, or network administrationFamiliarity with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Qualys, Nessus, Tenable)Exposure to SIEM or log monitoring platformsKnowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure security featuresWorking towards security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalentSkills and Attributes
Strong problem-solving and investigative skillsComfortable with both cloud and on-premises environmentsAbility to work independently and with technical teamsInterest in continuous learning through labs and simulations (TryHackMe, Hack The Box)What You Will Get In Return
