MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Procurement Officer in Essex. This will be on a temporary contract. Pay Rate: 400 Per Day Responsibilities: Support compliant procurement activities across a range of categories, ensuring best value and adherence to regulationsSupport major strategic projects, providing commercial insight and procurement guidance from concept to deliverySupport the Development of tender documentation, evaluate submissions, and contribute to award recommendationsBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand needs and enable effective sourcingSupport the management of contracts proactively, monitoring performance, risks, and opportunities for improvementContribute to procurement transformation, helping modernise processes, templates, and ways of working Skills and Experience Required: Experienced and qualified procurement professional who has CIPS and TPP qualificationsPrevious experience of working within the public sector, ideally in local government.A knowledge of the construction industry would be highly advantageous.This role requires a ''hands on'' operational approach to the role rather than a strategic lead.Must be able to travel to the site on a regular basis and be available to start on short notice. ..... full job details .....
