Teaching Assistant - SEMH Primary PRU

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Stretford, who are looking to appoint a committed and resilient Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a full-time role to start ASAP and offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of vulnerable young people in a supportive and rewarding setting.

The Role:

• Supporting primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs both inside and outside the classroom
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider pastoral team
• Helping to manage behaviour positively and consistently
• Building strong relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Supporting learning through tailored interventions and classroom activities

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with children with SEMH, behavioural needs, or additional needs
• Be calm, patient, and resilient
• Have strong behaviour management skills
• Be passionate about supporting vulnerable children
• Be able to build positive relationships quickly
• Hold a TA qualification or relevant experience (preferred but not essential)
