The Chancery Rosewood

opening in Summer 2025, a Rosewood Hotel Group property, is housed in the iconic former U.S. Embassy on Grosvenor Square, reimagined by British architect Sir David Chipperfield. It will include 144 spacious suites designed by Joseph Dirand, along with a variety of dining and entertainment spaces: providing a stage for progressive ideas, voices, and expression.

As a Shift Engineer at The Chancery Rosewood, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence within our Engineering department. This position ensures the smooth and efficient functioning of all hotel systems and equipment, providing both proactive and reactive maintenance services. Youll be part of a dynamic team that thrives in a fast-paced environment, working a shift-based schedule that includes weekends and nights.Key Responsibilities:Deliver a proactive maintenance service across all hotel areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and plant machinery.

Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities in line with company standards.

Respond promptly to breakdown calls, guest requests, and emergency situations with professionalism and efficiency.

Ensure asset protection and proper care of company-issued tools and equipment.

Demonstrate multi-disciplinary skills across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, ELV systems (BMS, GRMS, FLSandS, Lighting Control), carpentry, and decorating.

Participate in the emergency call-out rota as required.

Adhere to health and safety policies and legal compliance standards at all times.

Communicate effectively with internal departments and stakeholders, ensuring updates on maintenance activities and issues.

Deliver engaging guest interaction where appropriate, reflecting Rosewoods service ethos and brand values.

Support the training and development of junior colleagues as needed.

About You

Passionate, hands-on, and self-motivated with a strong background in hotel engineering and building maintenance.

Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of technical systems.

Comfortable working independently during shifts, as well as collaborating effectively with the wider team.

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Detail-oriented with an unwavering commitment to delivering excellence and maintaining luxury standards
