Support Worker Temp Contract
£13.50 + holiday

BRC are  currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join a dedicated service supporting vulnerable adults, families, women, men and children with complex needs.
You will provide person centred support that empowers individuals to build independence, improve wellbeing, develop life skills and access the services they need.
Key Responsibilities include

• Work closely with clients to assess their needs and create tailored support plans with clear goals and outcomes.
• Carry out risk assessments, safety planning and risk management plans.
• Support vulnerable adults and children, ensuring safeguarding concerns are recognised, reported and managed appropriately.
• Help clients access external services including housing, healthcare, legal support, benefits, education and employment.
• Encourage independence, resilience, positive parenting and community involvement.
• Work with clients across a variety of settings including supported housing, refuge services, young people''s services and floating support.
• Work alongside partner agencies and professionals to provide joined up support.
• Work flexibly to meet service needs, including evenings, weekends and participation in an on call rota where required.

• Experience supporting vulnerable people with complex or multiple needs.
• Experience creating support plans and carrying out risk assessments.
• Knowledge of safeguarding for both adults and children.
• An understanding of issues such as domestic abuse, mental health, substance use, homelessness and tenancy sustainment.
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Experience within supported housing, refuge, homelessness, tenancy support or floating support services.
