Our client, a large Aerospace and Defence supplier is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them on a contract basis at their site in Stevenage.Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold the British nationality and be eligible to obtain full SC Clearance12-month initial contract 50 p/h Umbrella, insideBased in Stevenage, 2-3 days per week onsite Responsibilities: Mechanical Engineering is excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer within our Military Packaging Design Team; involving Product Life Cycle, from concepts and detailed designs through to trials, qualification, production, and further in-service support. In this role, you will design and develop mechanical solutions for a wide variety of complex Military Packaging for critical defence products. You will influence design decisions across the full life cycle and play a key role in ensuring designs meet performance, safety, cost and scheduled customer requirements. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain. Skillset/experience required:Ideally Degree, HND, or HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant industry experienceProven ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams across mechanical design work packagesStrong experience across full product life cycles, from concept to in-service supportIn-depth knowledge of design proving and qualification activitiesRobust hands-on ..... full job details .....
