WPRG Ltd are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a large steel distributor based in Thurrock, Essex.This is an ongoing role delivering steel products including sheet metal, rods, and girders on flatbed trailers. All deliveries and collections are handled by forklift or crane - no manual lifting required.You will be responsible for securing loads using straps or chains to ensure safe delivery.The RoleAs an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties include:Delivering 5-10 steel deliveries per day on flatbed trailersSecuring loads with straps/chainsFollowing all health and safety proceduresCompleting vehicle checks and delivery paperworkWorking with professional steel distribution teamsShift PatternMonday - FridayStart time: 05:30 - 06:00Minimum 10.5 hours paid per shiftOvertime paid after 10.5 hoursImmediate starts available for regular ongoing shiftsDrug and alcohol testing required prior to startingPayBasic: £19.00 per hour / £21.29 per hour (includes holiday pay)Overtime (after 10.5 hours): £21.00 / £23.53 per hour (includes holiday pay)RequirementsValid HGV Class 1 licence (minimum 12 months)Full CPC qualificationDigital Tachograph cardMaximum 6 points on licenceExperience with strapping/chaining to secure loads preferredBenefitsOnsite parkingWorkplace pensionOngoing training and development opportunitiesNo manual lifting - all forklift/crane ..... full job details .....
