Teaching Assistant andndash; Make a Difference Supporting Autistic Children
Location: Watford, Hertfordshire
Hours: Full-time
Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about making a positive difference by supporting Autistic Children£ Do you want to work in a nurturing and inclusive school environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential£

We are working with a well-rated school in Watford that prides itself on providing a caring space for children to succeed, regardless of the challenges they face. The school is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children with autism and help them thrive.

What youandrsquo;ll be doing:


  • Collaborating with teachers to create and deliver engaging learning activities
  • Supporting students by delivering personalised action plans and strategies to help them make progress
  • Assisting with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Risk Assessments, Personal Care and Therapy programmes
  • Working closely with teachers, support staff, families and external agencies to provide the best possible support
  • Building positive, therapeutic relationships with students and responding to their individual needs

Weandrsquo;d love to hear from you if you:


  • Have experience working with Autistic Children, or a strong desire to work with children with ASC.
  • Understand SEN and are passionate about developing your skills
  • Can commit to fixed days, full-time
  • Hold a relevant qualification such as NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • May have experience in residential care, school support roles, or personal experience with ASC
  • Have completed or are willing to complete training such as Team Teach, TEACCH or positive handling
  • Have experience supporting independence and social-emotional development in young people
  • Hold a clear and valid DBS (or are willing to obtain one)
