Our client has a permanent vacancy for a Director of Facilities. This is a senior leadership appointment with responsibility for estates and facilities strategy, leading operational delivery, and stakeholder engagement across a complex organisation. Applicants will need to have experience at a similar Director/Head of level. You will be contributing to strategic and corporate planning, with special responsibility for the physical environment and the physical resources strategy, in the context of supporting all the business activities. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the estate, its related resources and business activities to provide a physical support environment commensurate with the corporate objectives and its mission of delivering excellence.To develop and implement an Estates strategy and masterplan that supports both the OperationalStrategy and the Financial Strategy to ensure all aspects are aligned. From this plan to deliver on the opportunities identified within the Masterplan, looking for tenants / land developers, knowledge of appropriate legal agreements and working with lawyers and Legal teams to pushing these opportunities through to completion. As part of this process, you will present proposals to Capital Planning committee, Executive, Finance Committee and Council as well as externally to Parish Council and Central Beds Council as appropriate.
