We are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Educational Psychologist to support a busy and well-established Educational Psychology service in Northumberland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Educational Psychologist to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people while working within a supportive and cooperative team.
The Role
As a Locum Educational Psychologist, you will work with schools, families and other professionals to support children and young people with a range of additional needs. Your responsibilities may include:
- Completing psychological assessments and consultations
- Contributing to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs)
- Providing advice and recommendations to support children and young people
- Working collaboratively with schools, parents/carers and multi-disciplinary professionals
- Producing high-quality psychological advice and written reports
- Supporting positive outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
Requirements
- Qualified EP
- Registered with the HCPC
- Relevant experience within an Educational Psychology service
- Experience of completing statutory assessments and providing psychological advice
- Strong report-writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
