Senior / Principal Civil Design Engineer - Energy Transition

OverviewSenior / Principal Civil Design Engineer - Energy Transition – Birmingham, United Kingdom. This role is part of Jacobs’ UK and Continental Europe team, focusing on civil design for energy transition projects including transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind farms and advanced facilities for mission-critical industries in the technology and process sectors.

Responsibilities
Delivering Civil and Structural Designs for Cable, Substation and other TandD solutions spanning UK projects.
Collaborating with diverse multi-disciplinary teams to support the FEED design and detailed design for the civil components of Energy projects.
Providing technical solutions, developing detailed designs, and offering guidance to Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure successful project execution.
Produce design deliverables (assumption notes, technical specifications and calculation notes, etc).
Perform analysis tasks as necessary.
Technical verifications of civil engineering documents.
Qualifications
A degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline
Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution or working towards chartered status
Experience within a civil discipline and experience in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects for Energy Transition industry
Experience preparing design calculations, reports, and detailed drawings. CAD (AutoCAD or Microstation) preferred but not essential
