Develop scoping documentation and Main Connections and Protection Diagrams.Review Protection and Control Designs developed by third parties.Specify PandC related equipment and plant such as relays, CTs, and VTs.Produce detailed designs including AC/DC schematics.Conduct protection grading studies, produce relay files and settings.Review Commissioning Plans and attend Commissioning Panel meetings.The Opportunity

Projects may include HVDC, interconnectors, wind farms, substations, OHL, geotechnical solutions, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED, new builds, refurbishment works, and connection schemes. You will lead and collaborate with a team on projects up to 400 kV, taking them from concept through detailed design and supporting construction and energisation. Ideally, you will have experience working with key TandD clients in the UK. There are opportunities to work on projects focused on innovation, standardisation, technology assessment, and supplier collaborations on new products and services.About You

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or a related field.Experience working on Distribution Networks as a Senior/Principal Protection and Control Design Engineer.Knowledge and experience with protection relays and relay panels, CT and VT sizing calculations, protection grading studies, and producing detailed AC/DC drawings.Familiarity with UK electrical practices and standards and an understanding/appreciation of CDM regulations.High regard for safety with demonstrable experience in risk mitigation.Experience working with National Grid processes.About Stantec
