IT Programme Delivery Lead

A 12 month Fixed term contract opportunity has arisen at a Large UK Financial services firm for a IT Programme Delivery Lead to drive and execute high-impact projects across cloud infrastructure and application development. The Ideal candidate will have a proven background in leading complex IT transformation and Integration programmes within regulated environments, ideally in banking or insurance. Key Responsibilities include: Lead enterprise-wide IT initiatives including hybrid cloud migration and legacy system modernisation. Managing budgets, third-party vendors, and cross-functional delivery teams Coordinate internal and external development teams to ensure resource allocation aligns with project goals, timelines, and deliverables. Define and maintain detailed project scopes, technical/user requirements, and delivery roadmaps in partnership with key stakeholders. Use project management tools to monitor progress, manage risks and dependencies, and provide real-time updates via dashboards and reports. Establish and maintain strong governance practices, including RAID logs, change control processes, lessons learned, and key decision tracking. Conduct regular IT process evaluations to uncover opportunities for automation, standardisation, and operational improvements.
