Salary: -35,000 - -45,000

An established ground engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to join its team in Manchester.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced consultant looking to take on more responsibility, work on a varied range of projects and play a key role in the delivery of geoenvironmental work.

The Role

You will be involved in a range of geoenvironmental and contaminated land projects, from initial site investigation through to reporting and remediation. Responsibilities will include:

• Managing and delivering Phase 1 Desk Studies and Phase 2 Site Investigations.
• Preparing factual and interpretative reports, including contaminated land assessments.
• Overseeing site works, supervising contractors and ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Managing project budgets, programmes and client relationships.
• Providing technical advice on ground conditions, contamination risks and remediation strategies.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
• Liaising with clients, regulators and other project stakeholders.

About You

• Experience in a geoenvironmental consultancy role, ideally at Senior Consultant level.
• A strong background in contaminated land and site investigation.
• Experience preparing geoenvironmental reports and interpreting ground investigation data.
• Good knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and guidance.
• Confident managing projects and communicating with clients.
• A relevant degree in geology, environmental science, or a related discipline.

A full UK driving licence is desirable due to the site-based nature of the role.
