A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.You will be working closely with a Year 3 child who requires additional support with challenging behaviour and anxiety. Your role will involve providing consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day, helping the child feel safe, settled and able to access their learning.You will support the child with their emotional regulation, behaviour, confidence and engagement, while encouraging positive relationships and greater independence.Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, anxiety, SEMH or additional emotional needs would be highly advantageous. The school is looking for someone who is patient, calm, consistent and confident in managing challenging situations in a positive and nurturing way.Building a strong and trusting relationship with the child will be an important part of the role. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to ensure the child receives consistent support and is able to make progress both academically and emotionally.
