Senior Authorised Person (up to 33kV)

Base Location: Slough, Southampton or Poole
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time
Salary: Up to -63,000 (depending on experience) for a 37-hour week

Are you ready to take the lead in high-voltage electrical operations and make a real impact in the power distribution sector?

We''re seeking a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join our dynamic team, supporting construction and asset replacement projects across SSEN networks. This is a hands-on, site-based role where your expertise will be critical in ensuring safe and efficient electrical operations.

• Execute LV & HV/EHV switching, isolation, earthing, and safety documentation duties
• Develop switching schedules and methods of work
• Control and monitor electrical construction and fault restoration on HV/LV networks up to 33kV
• Lead emergency response and power restoration efforts
• Manage and supervise Jointer and Fitter teams
• Provide technical guidance and support to clients and colleagues
• Travel within the region, with occasional weekend and on-call duties

• Authorisation to conduct switching operations from LV to 11kV (33kV desirable)
• Strong safety-first mindset and operational excellence
• In-depth knowledge of DNO switchgear and associated plant
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Familiarity with current regulations, standards, and codes of practice
• 132kV Authorisations would be desirable
