Bentley''s Receptionist is the face of the restaurant and first impressions of you is vital. A welcoming, friendly and professional approach towards everyone coming to Bentley''s, and calling is also essential. The reception department is responsible for answering telephone calls in a professional and timely manner, greeting and seating guests, carrying out daily administration duties which include preparing reports, managing the reservations and enquiries emails. Effective communication with the PDR team is essential, as well as maintaining the Open Table and Seven Rooms booking system.Pre-Service ResponsibilitiesConfirming all reservations for the following day and updating the Open Table and Seven Rooms system accordingly. Updating function sheets for PDR bookings, as many of the finer details and changes come at short notice - it is

important the kitchen and FOH teams are privy to this information as soon as it comes in.Maintaining the reception area, ensuring the outside areas, desk, cloakroom, mirrors and doors are immaculate at all times. Before the pre-service briefings (11.45am for lunch, 5.30pm for dinner) reservations reports should be printed and distributed. Any booking requests, details and notes should be highlighted, it is the responsibility of reception to ensure any detail out of the ordinary are communicated with other departments.During Service ResponsibilitiesMeeting and greeting customers, making them immediately feel welcome and cared for. Taking bags, coats and directing them in person, to the bar, their table of private room. Monitoring phone calls and managing reservations and enquiries whilst prioritising needs of the guests on the floor. Maintain communication of any details that change mid-service to the senior manager on duty. The Open Table system should be constantly maintained to ensure seating and arrival times, cancellations and no shows are accurately recorded.Post Service ResponsibilitiesPrepare the MOD report template and leave dinner figures clearly for the closing manager. Leave a handover on the reception desk for the receptionist starting the following morning so that any on going enquiries are dealt with. Ensure the cloakroom, outside areas, reception desk are left perfectly presented, clean, tidy and

organised.Uniform will be providedImmaculate and smart presentation is essential.
