Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
A well-established chemical manufacturing business is seeking an electrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team in Tameside. This is a permanent opportunity offering stability, a strong salary package, and the chance to work within a process-driven production environment.The RoleWorking on a rotating 3-shift pattern (06:00-14:00, 07:00-15:00, 14:00-22:00), you will be responsible for maintaining plant reliability through a combination of preventative and reactive maintenance. You''ll play a key role in ensuring production uptime while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical and mechanical maintenance across all plant machineryPlanned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown responseFault-finding on electrical and mechanical systemsIdentifying and implementing continuous improvements to enhance performance and reliabilityEnsuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and within required timeframesSupporting production teams to minimise downtimeMaintaining accurate maintenance recordsProviding guidance and mentorship to on-site apprenticesRequirementsElectrically biased Multiskilled Maintenance EngineerRecognised engineering qualification (apprentice trained preferred)Strong electrical fault-finding skills, supported by mechanical knowledgeExperience within a manufacturing or process environment (chemical advantageous)Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, ..... full job details .....
