Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work in schools in and around Wombwell.  As a CS, this is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals who enjoy leading and motivating students in the absence of their usual class teacher.

Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

• Supervising classes during short-term teacher absences.
• Ensuring students remain on task and follow the lesson plans provided.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school’s policy.
• Reporting any incidents or issues to senior staff as required.
• Providing general support to departments when cover is not needed.

Requirements for Cover Supervisor:

• Previous experience in a school or working with young people is desirable.
• Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to remain calm, confident, and professional at all times.
• A flexible and proactive approach to classroom supervision.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
• A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
