Learning Support Assistants - Islington Primary Schools

Tradewind Education is recruiting Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) for outstanding primary schools across Islington, with a special focus on candidates fluent in French and/or Spanish. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who want to combine their language skills with supporting children''s learning and development, including those with SEN.

• Work in inclusive and diverse school communities, supporting pupils from all backgrounds.

• Collaborate with teachers to deliver creative and engaging lessons, including language-focused activities.

• Support children in small groups, 1:1 sessions, or whole-class activities, helping them access the curriculum fully.

As an LSA, you will:

• Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN, ensuring they access all areas of the curriculum.

• Use your French or Spanish skills to support language learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

• Work 1:1 or in small groups, helping children build confidence, social skills, and communication abilities.

• Assist teachers with planning and delivering differentiated activities, including language interventions.

• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment where all children feel supported.

• Experience working with children in schools or group settings, ideally supporting SEN pupils.

• Fluency in French and/or Spanish.

• Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable individuals who thrive in collaborative, inclusive environments.

• A passion for helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally, while fostering language learning.

• Long-term or day-to-day placements across Islington primary schools.

• Opportunities to work in well-resourced classrooms with supportive staff teams.
