Our client, a dynamic and agile regional Main Contractor/Developer with a >£150m turnover are currently recruiting for a Civil Engineering Manager to join their busy and growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. Operating out of their offices near Maidstone, they build across Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Essex, with their residential product is built for Housing Association clients and open-market sale alike. Built on a mix of green and brownfield land, sites typically feature upwards of 200 units. The Engineering Manager is a stand-alone role so will need a strong, experienced candidate that can lead on engineering aspects of proposed site developments at Land acquisition, Planning, Design, Procurement and Construction stage. This will include foul and surface water drainage strategy, flood risk, levels and retaining strategy, highways and foundation strategies and all structural proposals. The ideal candidate will have:Ability to prioritise and delegate as appropriate, effectively negotiate, motivate and communicate in order to influence others to ensure that the required objectives are met.Leadership skills including assertiveness, being decisive, flexible, good time management, organised, effective at leading / participating in meetings, works well under pressure and to strict deadlines.Experience and knowledge of Engineering, Planning and Design processes.A general background knowledge in property.Experience in stakeholder management.Vision and ability to deliver and ..... full job details .....
