Health and Safety OfficerWidnesPermanent, Full-TimeHere at Halton Housing, we are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to work across our vibrant organisation.Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)Duration: PermanentWhat You''ll Do:Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, policies and procedures across the organisation.Lead on construction health and safety, including site inspections, audits and reporting.Support managers with risk assessments, risk management and occupational health matters.Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventative actions.Maintain and continuously improve the Health and Safety Management System.Provide expert health and safety guidance, coaching and technical support to managers and employees.Develop and deliver health and safety training and induction programmes.Support employee consultation and the effective operation of the Health and Safety Committee.Undertake workplace monitoring, including noise, dust and vibration assessments where required.What You''ll Need:Experience in a similar Health and Safety role, including auditing and delivering training, with a NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent).Commitment to achieving a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) within three years.Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.Excellent problem-solving, influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to analyse data, ..... full job details .....
